Helping You Care for Your Pets with Confidence

At Shopping With Pets, we believe that caring for your furry family members should be simple, enjoyable, and stress-free. Our mission is to give you the knowledge, tools, and recommendations you need to make the best choices for your pets’ health, happiness, and well-being.

Our Story & Mission

Hi. I Am a Dog Person Who Got Tired of Bad Information.

My name is A.T. I have owned dogs my entire adult life. I have also spent more hours than I care to count reading product reviews that turned out to be sponsored, following advice that contradicted itself three clicks later, and buying things that looked promising online and were garbage in my house.

Shopping With Pets exists because I got tired of it.

This site is where I put everything I have actually researched, tested, or found credible enough to stand behind. Dog health, nutrition, behavior, gear, grooming. The things that matter for real dogs living in real homes with real owners who do not have unlimited time or money.

What This Site Is

Shopping With Pets is an independent dog care and pet product resource. Every guide on this site is written to answer a real question clearly and completely, without padding, without burying the answer, and without steering you toward a product because someone paid for the placement.

The topics I cover come from two places: questions I have had myself as a dog owner, and questions I see dog owners asking repeatedly across forums, vet waiting rooms, and social media with no good answer available.

If I write about it, I have either experienced it, researched it thoroughly using veterinary and peer-reviewed sources, or both.

My Editorial Standards

Every piece of content on this site follows these principles:

Honesty over positivity. If something does not work, I say so. If a product category is mostly marketing with little evidence behind it, I say that too.

Sources that matter. Health and nutrition content on this site is grounded in veterinary research, guidance from organizations like the AVMA, AAHA, and AAFCO, and peer-reviewed studies where they exist. I cite my sources at the bottom of every health guide.

No fake expertise. I am a dog owner and a researcher, not a veterinarian. When a topic requires veterinary expertise, I say so explicitly and direct you to consult your vet. You will see a disclaimer on every health-related article on this site.

Updated when things change. Pet nutrition science, product formulations, and veterinary guidelines evolve. I revisit guides periodically to make sure the information still reflects the current evidence.

A Note on Affiliate Links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how I keep the site running and the content free.

Here is what that means in practice: I do not recommend products because they pay commissions. I only link to products I would actually suggest to a friend who asked me what to buy. The commission is a byproduct of the recommendation, not the reason for it.

I disclose affiliate relationships clearly throughout this site. If you ever have a question about a specific recommendation or want to know why I suggested something, ask me directly. My contact form is at the bottom of this page.

What You Will Find Here

The blog covers dog health, nutrition, training, behavior, grooming, and gear. The focus is always on giving you enough information to make a genuinely informed decision, whether that decision is what food to buy, when to call your vet, or which training approach to try first.

I write for dog owners who want a real answer, not a list of ten products with no context.

Get in Touch

If you have a question about something I have written, a topic you want covered, or a product you want me to look into, I want to hear from you.

Email: brunoandbullet@gmail.com

I read every message. I cannot provide individual veterinary advice, but I can point you toward the right resources or write a guide on your topic if it would help other dog owners too.

Shopping With Pets is a participant in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates, Chewy, and Petco. Commissions are earned on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

Why This Matters to Me

The dogs in our lives are not accessories. They are family members who cannot advocate for themselves, cannot read a label, and cannot tell us when something is wrong until the signs are obvious. The least we can do is make informed decisions on their behalf.

That is what this site is for.

A reminder you will see on every health article on this site: The content here is for general informational purposes only. It is not veterinary advice.
